About Me

My name is Virginia Norris. I have a degree in teaching and a degree in Medical Science specialising in Nutrition. I have owned a restaurant, a bakery and cafe. My passion for baking was inspired by my mum's very creative birthday cake making in the 70s - mostly inspired by The Woman's Weekly Birthday cake book!

I have baked in commercial quantities in my very busy boutique bakery and have made many one-off cakes for friends and family. After dabbling in biscuits for the corporate and incentive market, selling at community markets and supplying retail stores, I decided it was time for a dedicated outlet providing delicious, quality and affordable cakes, biscuits and confectionery. The market is well supplied with fancy iced and themed cakes, drip cakes, cupcakes, toppers etc so my point of difference is cakes made in the traditional way from scratch - hence the name Vintage. Pure ingredients only, with no chemicals or additives and no fake products (margarine is a dirty word).

I also offer a small selection of "alternative" products to cater for those with dietary intolerances or preferences. See vegan and gluten free options.
